Tower Of Hanoi
The Tower Of Hanoi is one of the best exercise for problem-solving and shape recognition skills. It consists of three rods and a number of disks of different sizes, which can slide onto any rod. The puzzle starts with the disks in a neat stack in ascending order of size on one rod, the smallest at the top, thus making a conical shape.
The objective of the puzzle is to move the entire stack to another rod, obeying the following simple rules:
- Only one disk can be moved at a time.
- Each move consists of taking the upper disk from one of the stacks and placing it on top of another stack or on an empty rod.
- No larger disk may be placed on top of a smaller disk.
It is made from selected wood, covered with water-based paint and has round and smooth edges, making it perfectly safe for the little ones. The size of it is approx. 8.9' X 3.8' X 1.6' (check the image below for detailed dimensions).
As a child, you remember sitting for hours, making your own fun. Sometimes with toys, sometimes without. All you really needed was your imagination. But your own children find it more difficult. Why can’t they focus like you used to be able to? You feel like you have to be with them constantly. Switching on the television will do the trick But they’ve already watched it today. And you worry that it’s affecting their ability to focus.
How can you help your child to have all the fun you did without being at their side all day? The answer is Educational Toys that encourages Independent Play!
A common misconception about play is that it is simply for fun, an enjoyable diversion. But play is much more than that. At its core, play is about learning. It’s how children instinctively practice the skills and qualities they will need as adults: motor skills, interpersonal skills, emotional development. They learn to persevere, to invent and to think critically. Play certainly is fun. But fun is a by-product. It’s nature’s way of making sure children develop the SKILLS they need as they grow up.
